Ayer Roberto hubiera cumplido 17 años y aunque ya no esté, de forma presencial al menos pues su recuerdo perdurará entre quienes le conocieron y amaron, su tía, la reconocida artista tafallesa Asun Requena, quiso dedicarle una instalación artística.
“Él era muy de cuentos”, reconoce Requena, de ahí que se decantase por el famoso “no cumpleaños” de Alicia en el País de las Maravillas a la hora de recordar a su sobrino Roberto, fallecido el pasado 10 de febrero con 16 años tras haber sido agredido por otros dos menores (si bien uno de los imputados exculpó al otro en su última declaración).
La artista, animada por su familia, quiso expresar el “distanciamiento” existente entre su sobrino y ella. “El tránsito entre este mundo y el otro” explicó. Para ello, colocó una alfombra roja en el callejón de la calle Mayor en el que perdió la vida el joven para “simbolizar el camino hacia el otro mundo” y un punto dorado, representando “la luz del espíritu”. “Es el sitio en el que me despedí de él, en el que murió”, recordó Requena, que completó la instalación artística con 17 blondas doradas, tantas como años hubiera cumplido ayer el chaval, para simbolizar “los pasteles que ya no nos vamos a comer con él”.
El objetivo era “pasar un día tan señalado lo mejor posible” y aliviar su dolor utilizando el arte como terapia. “La gente ha respondido, lo necesitaban tanto como nosotros”, reconoce.
Y no le falta razón porque a lo largo del día fueron decenas las personas que se acercaron hasta este callejón para depositar flores, fotos, dibujos o escribir sus condolencias.
“Siempre estarás en nuestros corazones”, “Has sido la luz de tu familia durante 16 años, que lo sigas siendo”, “Seguimos esperando a que se haga justicia” o “Que tu bondad y tu eterna sonrisa nos acompañen siempre” fueron algunos de los mensajes que los vecinos y vecinas de Tafalla, que siguen consternados por el trágico suceso, escribieron sobre la alfombra roja, en papelitos de colores.
RECLAMAN JUSTICIA Requena reconoció, asimismo, que a medida que pasan los días la familia está “peor”. No ayuda tampoco que durante el montaje de la instalación, sus allegados tuvieran que “aguantar” que uno de los menores relacionados con su muerte pasase hasta “tres veces por delante. No hay derecho”, denunció la artista. Y es que no hay que olvidar que la titular del Juzgado de Menores de Pamplona concedió en abril un régimen semiabierto al joven de 16 años y la libertad vigilada al de 15 años. De ahí que no descarten futuras movilizaciones para reclamar justicia para Roberto.
Por último cabe destacar que a las 19.30 horas se ofició una misa en la iglesia de Santa María.

"They will always be in our hearts", "You were the light of your family for 16 years, that you remain", "We continue waiting for justice," or "May your kindness and your eternal smile always be with us" were some Messages that the residents of Tafalla, following dismayed by the tragic event, wrote on the red carpet in colored paper.
DEMAND JUSTICE Requena also recognized that as the days pass the family is "worse". It does not help that during the installation of the system, their relatives had to "hold" one of the children associated with his death pass up "three times ahead. No right, "he complained the artist. And it must be remembered that the head of the Juvenile Court of Pamplona in April granted a semi-open regime and 16-year probation to 15 years. Hence, they do not discount future mobilizations to demand justice for Robert.
Finally it is noteworthy that at 19.30 a mass will be celebrated in the church of Santa Maria.
